Q&A with Nathan

Nov 2, 2011

Hello and happy November! We hope you enjoyed Halloween, because we certainly did. Then again, every day is Halloween here at Archie McPhee.

Today we would like to introduce another new member of the Archie McPhee staff, Nathan!

Archie McPhee: What is your nerdiest secret?

Nathan: I grew up watching Godzilla movies instead of Disney movies, so Godzilla is my favorite fictional character. I know WAY too much about the movies and franchise, and I collect as much of the merchandise as I can find. It’s pretty cluttered.

AM: What is the strangest thing inside your fridge right now? What’s the most delicious?

Nathan: The most delicious thing in my fridge is definitely my Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. I save pints for really bad days and then just devour them while watching horrible movies. Willie Nelson’s Country Peach Cobbler is my favorite this month. The strangest thing is probably the yogurt chips I keep for my rats. They taste okay, but the rats seem to like them a lot more.

AM: Do you collect anything in particular?

Nathan: Aside from Godzilla stuff, I collect anything related to dinosaurs, crocodiles, or rats (my favorite animals!) I also have a ton of posters and am always working on obtaining more things to frame, like vinyls and art prints.

AM: What is your superpower?

Nathan: Near-perfect recall of Godzilla-related trivia, video game knowledge, and assorted Muppets facts. I would kill at Nerd Trivial Pursuit! Not so useful out in the real world, though.

AM: What Archie McPhee product do you wish you’d had as a child?

Nathan: I think having the Party Rats would have tied one of my main interests, rats, to something I normally don’t care much for, parties. I would have been super social and outgoing if I knew rats were allowed at parties!

Welcome Nathan! Your love and rats and Godzilla should make you right at home here.

Stay tuned for more Q&A sessions with other members of the Archie McPhee staff.
