General Manager (Mukilteo)
Archie McPhee is looking to hire a General Manager to work on site at our corporate headquarters in Mukilteo, WA
Overview: The General Manager at Archie McPhee is responsible for making sure the day-to-day operations of the company run smoothly and profitably. As we are a small business, you will be participating in all parts of the business, from sales to facilities, and have the opportunity to make a real impact.
Requirements:
- Someone with 5 or more years of experience in managing people and either business operations, HR, importing/exporting, bookkeeping or some other related area.
- Facilitate communication between employees and make sure everyone stays connected and aware.
- Provide support where needed to ensure the business runs smoothly on a daily basis.
- Review workflow and make changes to improve it by taking employee input and implementing the best ideas.
- Identify lapses in data, communication, or goals and implement course corrections before they become a problem.
- Strong HR knowledge. The General Manager will be the point person for hiring, as well as maintaining the employee handbook and staff files.
- Have a checklist for new hires and guide new employees through the onboarding process.
- Maintain company culture with events and careful selection of employees.
Desired skills:
- Organized, enthusiastic, and reliable.
- Experience with ERP system.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to write quickly and clearly.
- Experience mediating disagreements between employees.
- Leadership skills that inspire trust and a comfortable work environment for all.
- Ability to coach employees for success.
- Excellent nimbleness in times of trouble and change.
- Proactive with their work. Ability to self-motivate.
- Must be able to tell an interesting story with a beginning, middle, and end.
